Polyester Reinforcing Fabric For Use With Duram Membranes And Coatings |
Description
Open weave polyester reinforcing fabric for the use of reinforcing Duram waterproofing membranes.
Available in the following roll sizes:

Uses
As a reinforcing fabric, Duram Durascrim is suitable to use with the following Duram Membranes:
Durabit EF, Durabit Reo, Durabit-Bitumen Free, Azcoflex, Pondseal, Duram 195 and Multithane.
Reinforcing membranes with Durascrim is recomended over joins, cracks, gaps and in corners or wherever additional tensile strength or membrane build up is desired.

The information contained in this product data sheet is typical but does not constitute a full specification as conditions and specific requirements may vary from project to project. The instructions should be considered as a minimum requirement but the applicator or contractor must use their skill, knowledge and experience to carry out additional works as may be necessary to meet the requirements of the project. Specification for specific projects should be sought from the Company in writing.

By using Durascrim:
• Provides additional strength to waterproofing membranes.
• Allows greater product build up.
Application
Apply 1st coat of the Duram membrane, usually at no less than 500 microns thick, and embed the Durascrim into wet coat. Apply a similar saturating coat over and working it in to the Durascrim ensuring that there are no wrinkles, folds or bubbles in fabric and sufficient product has been applied to cover the fabric. Allow to dry. Apply 1 to 2 additional coats at 500 microns thick and allow to dry.

Coverage
The stated average coverage rate may vary depending upon type, condition, porosity, texture of the surface and application technique.
Generally, at least 2 litres per m² of product is needed to properly saturate and cover Durascrim.
Storage
Keep in dry area.
