Description
Duramax MAXIBOND is a water - based, penetrative acrylic bonding agent which enhances the adhesion of subsequent coatings, and particularly renders and some texture finishes over existing painted surfaces and Blue Board (FC Sheeting).
Uses
Bonding agent for renders and texture finishes over painted surfaces over Blue Board (FC Sheeting).
Suitable Surfaces
MAXIBOND is suitable to use over water - based acrylic paints and texture finishes as well as Blue Board ( FC Sheeting).

Precautions in Use
The use of gloves and goggles is recommended while applying MAXIBOND. When spraying avoid breathing spray mist. Product may irritate skin, eyes and respiratory organs.
If on skin remove contaminated clothing and wash with soap and water. Do not use solvents.
If inhaled remove person to fresh air and apply artifical respiration if required.Seek medical attention.
If in eyes flush thoroughly with clean water, holding open lid to ensure any trapped product maybe flushed away.
If swallowed give water to drink and seek urgent medical advice.
Priming and Surface Preparation
Good preparation is essential. Surfaces must be sound, stable, dry, clean and free of dust, loose, flaking, friable material and substances that may diminish adhesion.
Water blasting or wire brushing is recommended for existing painted surfaces. Do not apply if rain or frost is imminent or likely during the products curing stage.
Application
Apply MAXIBOND by brush, roller or spray.
IMPORTANT: Allow product to tack off then before it is fully dried apply MAXIRENDER F10 ( or other recommended renders or texture coatings.

Application Experience
We recommend that the product is applied by person with the appropriate skills and experience for the type of product. The acceptability of the surface is the responsibility of the applicator.
Coverage
The stated average coverage rate may vary depending upon type, condition, porosity, texture of the surface and application technique.
This is a guide only as will be dependant on the above information.
5 sq. m per litre per coat usually applied in 1 coat.
Colour Batches
Whilst care is taken to accurately colour match, batch to batch variations may occur for reasons which may be beyond our control. We strongly advise that project requirements are ordered in a single batch lot to avoid colour matching from batch to batch. Minimum quantities and tinting charges may apply.
Contractor Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the contractor or applicator to ensure that the colour is within specification prior to its application. The Company shall not be liable for any colour variations after the product has been applied. Further, the applicator should use product for touch-ups from the same batches used to do the original coats.
Drying and Curing
Drying and curing of the product is affected by type, dryness and porosity of the surface, temperature, humidity, ventilation, climate conditions and application technique and therefore drying and curing can only be given as a guide.
Drying Times at 23oC:
Touch Dry: +/- 1 hour.
Hard Dry: 12 to 24 hours.
Storage
Store in cool dry areas. Protect product from heat, frost and container damage.
Shelf Life: Approximately 6 months in unopened containers.
Clean Up
Very difficult to clean porous surfaces but other surfaces clean with water and an absorbent cloth.
